Cerbios appoints Claudio Pozzoli as Director R&D Chemical Division
Cerbios is pleased to announce that Dr. Claudio Pozzoli has joined as Director R&D Chemical Division on October 1st 2015.
Dr. Claudio Pozzoli has been active in the pharmaceutical industry since 1989 and has great experience in different positions.

“His strong scientific background combined with the long-term experience acquired in chemical-pharmaceutical companies in different positions during his career will bring to Cerbios additional know-how and expertise. This is what we need, since Cerbios is growing and evolving very rapidly following the development of new chemical entities which are more and more potent and complex like Antibody-Drug-Conjugates”.
Dr. Pozzoli holds a degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Milan.
After 3 years at Boehringer Ingelheim, as a Scientist, and at the Zambon Group as Senior Scientist, he moved to Norpharma as Custom Synthesis and Cost Calculation Manager in 1997.
For a short period in 2001 he was Production Manager in Poli Industria Chimica and after this experience he joined Sicor as R&D Director.
His career continued in Farmabios where he spent the last 12 years as R&D Director, also covering the position of Plant Manager between 2003 and 2007. He is also author of several patents in the field of Organic Chemistry.
Cerbios is a privately held company located in Lugano, Switzerland, that specializes in the development and manufacture of both chemical and biological APIs for its partners world-wide.
Exclusive, third-party manufacturing services are offered by the Chemical Division for HPAIs and by the Biological Division for monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins and pharma probiotics.
Cerbios provides full CMC support to its world-wide partners, including the supply of cGMP clinical batches, registration/validation material and commercially manufactured APIs. Paramount to this is the ability to supply all of the technical documentation and support necessary for a successful registration. Cerbios’ commercial products are marketed worldwide but primarily in Europe, USA, Japan and India.
